My poor guys....

These are my new red planter boxes
that Jared hung for me!
I made him pose by them this morning as he was
leaving for work. (good sport)

This is the pinata I stuffed on Monday, for Talmage's birthday
party scheduled with friends for that night.

At 1:00 On Monday, Jared came home not feeling well.
He told me he just needed to lie down
for a bit.

I was picking up the boys from school when he called to
tell me he was throwing up...
We had to cancel the party, we didn't want people getting sick!
There sat my Talmage
so excited for his birthday party.
Breaking the news to Talmage was awful.
Jared was mortified, I was not reacting well and Talmage was devastated.
My seven year old said through his tears, "it's not Dad's fault, it's those dumb germs fault!"

Luckily Talmage has adoring Grandma's who sent cards with money and gift cards!

I  diverted his sobs to checking the mail box.
Wow...how lucky were we
to have a mailbox filled with cards for him.

This is the cake Jared had made by Victoria at his hospital.

The pinata waits for a party to be had!

Super thankful that we had a party on Saturday!

Off to work on my little old trailer....

This is how I am thinking/want to paint The trailer...
Minus the painted on garland
Jared does NOT like sea foam green
Perhaps red?

Our Talmage turns Seven!

Seven years ago at 3:07 a.m
Talmage came into our life.
He was six weeks early.
I almost had him at 25 weeks.
(I had complete placenta previa)
Luckily he did not come that early.
I was on bed rest for 9 weeks.
Talmage only needed to be on a ventilator for 18 hours.
He was in the NICU for 16 days.

He is an AMAZING guy!
Full of Witt
with
the most gentle heart.

Camera had the wrong year on it.

Jared and I decided Saturday morning on the way to Talmage's 8:00 a.m
baseball game that we should go to Vegas after his game
for a little last minute party with his Vegas friends!
He was thrilled!
Good old Chucky E Cheese's
and his favorite friends made it a great day!

Talmage and Abbie

We will have an actual birthday dinner and cake with our Kingman friends tonight.
Should be fun!
Thanks for SEVEN AWESOME YEARS Talmage!
We love you to pieces!

P.S.
Saturday, after our little party, I was sitting at a stop light in Vegas and saw this truck.
If you look really closely you can see the gas pump hanging out.
They must have forgotten to take the gas pump out?!

That project...why so long?....

I am a bit reluctant to show my little old bathroom.
I must say I have been stuck in a rut.  Hung up in my own mind!
You know the saying comparison robs you of joy? Yeah, that is what I have been doing.
Comparing my bathroom to a Candice Olsen (my fav decorator) make over.

I grew up in a home where walls were knocked down and new ones where built rather quickly!
My parents redecorated our house all the time.  (SPOILED)
I took for granted skill, money and time!
All of which I do not posses.
My Contractor Dad always had "Rome built in a day."

The name of the game in my life right now is to
make due with what we already have.
My guest bathroom needed a little sprucing up.
I sheepishly introduce you to her...

History....

We have two other families that are our "family"
here in Kingman.
When you live away from your extended family....others stand in.
We spend a Sunday dinner a month eating dinner at each others houses and
celebrate birthday's together.
We laugh a lot!

Yesterday, we all cara vanned out to the old town of Cerbat.
An old mining town from the middle 1800's to the first part of  1900's.
The town had 100 residents.

It was AWESOME!

Seriously amazing to me.
I am a lover of History and it's "stories"

There were abandoned mines left wide open!  The guys would throw rocks (boulders) down them.
We would all stand quietly listening to the rock make it's
journey down these shafts.  The rock would pound off of the walls ferociously until we would hear a loud splash as it hit
water at the bottom.
My Jared was way too close to the edge!

There were murders, suicides, and a hanging in this little town!
There is a grave yard which contains about 20 or so graves of the people from  this now ghost town.
There were "Families" that lived in this town. Two Doctors and two lawyers lived there too.

Almost done with one "project". Ten more to go...

Jonah yesterday at the Cracker Barrel
with his cutest Easter basket that he made at preschool
yesterday morning.
I must say, Jonah has THE best preschool teachers
in the world!!! (here in little old Kingman!)
Seriously!
Mrs. Holli and Mrs. Kali make Jonah's world amazing!

My "project" is not quite done...
Tomorrow!

I have been reading Nie Nie  since her accident.  Is she not the most incredible woman?!!
She brought a new little baby into this world with her incredible body!
She is the definition of endurance to me!  I know if I could choose a CELEB to spend the day with,
it would be her!

Guess what "project" I am working on now...

Last week, not a lot was accomplished...

This week...I hope to accomplish a lot more...

Notice how many projects I have going on Jared's work table....
Poor guy.  He never gives me a hard time...
I NEED to focus on ONE PROJECT at a time....
I have cords leading to the sander for the trailer + five different paints out + big mess = not getting ONE thing done.
It's crazy!
Focus...focus...

These are my colors
Check back on Friday to see what I come up with....
